1. Who We Are and How to Contact Us

GoatedGoats LLC operates the Service and determines how personal information described in this Privacy Policy is processed.

Privacy questions, privacy-rights requests, or concerns may be sent to privacy@goatedgoats.net. General support questions may be sent to support@goatedgoats.net.

Please do not send passwords, authentication or recovery codes, secret keys, full payment-card information, Social Security numbers, or unrequested identity documents by email.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.

A. Account and Profile Information

• Name, email address, optional phone number, authentication and account identifiers.
• Farm or business name, profile information, general location you choose to provide, and account and notification preferences.

B. Livestock, Pedigree, and Farm Records

• Goat names and profiles, photographs, registration and identification numbers, pedigree information, sire and dam relationships, and ownership information.
• Breeding records, breeding and due dates, offspring, health-test information, awards, notes, farm records, registration papers, pedigree documents, health documents, and other livestock records.

Some livestock records may relate to another breeder, owner, farm, or person. Provide such information only when you have a lawful basis or appropriate authority.

C. Marketplace and Communication Information

• Listings, descriptions, photographs, asking prices, general locations, favorites, views, and saved searches.
• Messages, attachments, offers, transaction or listing status, reports, blocks, and other marketplace communications.

D. Device, Security, and Technical Information

• IP address, authentication-session information, server and request logs, and security or fraud-prevention information.
• Browser or device information, operating-system and app-version information, diagnostics, crashes or errors, device push tokens, and notification preferences.

E. Files and Device Permissions

When you choose relevant features, the Service may request access to photographs or photo-library selections, files and documents, and notifications. We access these capabilities only for the feature you choose and subject to device permissions, which you can change in device settings.

F. Information We Do Not Currently Intend to Collect Through the App

GoatedGoats does not currently use advertising or behavioral-advertising SDKs and does not currently require access to your contact book, microphone, or precise GPS location. We do not currently process payment-card information directly through the Service. If these practices change, we will update this policy and applicable app-store disclosures as required.

3. Sources of Information

We may receive information directly from you; from other users who provide livestock, ownership, pedigree, breeding, or marketplace information; automatically from devices, browsers, servers, and security infrastructure; from service providers acting on our behalf; and from records or files you import. Information provided by another user may not have been independently verified by GoatedGoats.

4. How We Use Information

We use information as reasonably necessary to:

• Create, maintain, and authenticate accounts.
• Provide herd management, livestock and farm records, pedigrees, pedigree-based relationships and breeding estimates, breeding-management tools, marketplace listings, messaging, offers, storage, search, discovery, and requested notifications.
• Provide customer support; prevent fraud, spam, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents; investigate reports; and enforce our Terms of Service.
• Maintain and improve reliability, diagnose technical problems, comply with law and lawful governmental requests, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We do not sell personal information and do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Pedigree and Breeding Processing

GoatedGoats may process pedigree, ancestry, parentage, breeding, and related livestock information to generate family relationships, coefficient-of-inbreeding estimates, compatibility indicators, diversity information, breeding suggestions, expected due dates, and similar decision-support information. These calculations concern livestock records and are not intended to determine characteristics about human users. Their accuracy depends substantially on the completeness and accuracy of the underlying records.

6. Information You Make Visible to Others

Your account email address and phone number are private by default unless you affirmatively choose to make applicable contact information available through a supported sharing feature. Information you intentionally publish through a discoverable goat, breeder, or farm profile or marketplace listing may be visible to other users according to the feature and privacy settings.

Messages, offers, and attachments may be available to conversation participants. Authorized farm members may access records for farms to which they have access. Reports and moderation information may be available to authorized GoatedGoats personnel or service providers for safety, security, moderation, legal compliance, or enforcement. Do not publish or upload another person’s private information unless you have authority.

7. Service Providers and Other Disclosures

Providers may include Supabase for authentication, databases, realtime functionality, and file storage; Vercel for website and application infrastructure; Expo/EAS for mobile development, builds, updates, and related infrastructure; Apple and Google for mobile services, distribution, and push notifications; Sentry, if enabled, for configured crash and diagnostic reporting; and other infrastructure, security, email, or operational providers reasonably necessary to operate the Service.

When production crash reporting is enabled, we configure it to minimize unnecessary personal information and disable unnecessary identity, screenshot, view-hierarchy, request-data, or free-form diagnostic collection where technically supported. Providers process information under applicable contracts, terms, privacy practices, and our configuration.

We may disclose information when you direct us; to provide a requested feature; to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or Terms violations; to protect users, animals, GoatedGoats, or others; when required by valid legal process; in a business transaction subject to law; or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. We do not sell personal information.

8. Retention

We generally retain account information and user-created records while your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the Service. Content may be retained until you delete it, delete your account, or it is otherwise removed under our policies.

We may retain limited information after deletion for fraud and abuse prevention, security, legal compliance, disputes, enforcing agreements, required business records, or legal claims. Deleted information may remain temporarily in protected backups until overwritten or expired under provider schedules and is not restored to ordinary active use except for disaster recovery, security, or legal requirements.

9. Account and Data Deletion

You may initiate deletion through Profile & Settings or follow the instructions at www.goatedgoats.net/delete-account. If you cannot access your account or deletion functionality, contact privacy@goatedgoats.net.

Delete account closes the account and begins deletion of personal information and user-generated content associated with it from active systems, except information we may legally retain. Request data deletion submits a privacy-rights request while leaving the account active during review. Temporary suspension or deactivation is not account deletion. Multi-user transaction, safety, fraud, dispute, or legal records may require limited preservation, deletion, or de-identification.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

You may use Service controls to edit profile, livestock, and farm information; manage listings, contact-sharing choices, notification preferences, and device permissions; archive conversations where supported; block or report users or content; delete applicable content; and delete your account.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to confirm processing; access or know information; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; receive a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent; opt out of certain sale, targeted advertising, or profiling; and appeal certain privacy decisions. We do not currently sell personal information or process it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Use Request data deletion in Profile & Settings for deletion, or contact privacy@goatedgoats.net for another privacy request. We may verify identity and authority. Authorized agents may need evidence of authority. We will respond within the time required by law. Appeals may be sent to the same address and should identify the request being appealed. You may also complain to an applicable regulator.

11. California and Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of California, New Jersey, and certain other states may have additional rights when applicable legal thresholds and exceptions apply, including confirmation, access, correction, deletion, portability, and rights concerning sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising an applicable right. Nothing in this policy provides fewer rights than applicable law requires.

12. EEA, United Kingdom, and Other International Users

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, processing may rely on performance of a contract or requested pre-contract steps, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service where not overridden by applicable rights, and consent where required. GoatedGoats and providers may process information in the United States and other countries and may rely on legally recognized transfer safeguards. International users may have additional rights.

13. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information, which may include authentication and authorization controls, row-level database security, private storage controls, encrypted network transport, protected session storage, rate limiting, input validation, logging controls, access restrictions, and account-deletion procedures. No internet-connected system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your credentials and report suspected unauthorized access to support@goatedgoats.net.

14. Children

GoatedGoats is intended for adults 18 or older. The Service is not directed to children or minors, and users under 18 may not create or use an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the Service from children under 18. If you believe a person under 18 provided information, contact privacy@goatedgoats.net so we can investigate and act.

15. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may link to third-party websites, registries, payment services, transportation providers, or other resources. GoatedGoats does not control independent third-party privacy practices; their own policies and terms govern.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy for changes in the Service, technology, law, security practices, or business operations. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice or obtain renewed consent or acknowledgment when required. Material changes will not be applied retroactively where prohibited.
